Goodwill Hunting

Hello,

You never know what treasures await you at your local thrift shop. I try to stop by every couple weeks. Sometimes I leave empty handed, but sometimes you find a diamond in the rough.

For instance, a few weeks ago I saw this sitting on the floor of Goodwill.

A closer look found an adorable couch with black legs that would match my decor perfectly, there wasn't a rip or stain on it-all for $100.00!

If you haven't started thrift shopping yet, you really should. And all proceeds usually go to charity.

Happy hunting!

Upholstery for tattered treasures

Hello,

My BFF and yard sale partner-in-crime took a free (yes, I said free) upholstery class at a local fabric store. She wanted to see if she could learn how to redo some of the tattered treasures we find on our Sat morning hunts.

She tried her new skill on a ripped red ottoman. I couldn't believe it was the same piece when she was done (sorry she forgot to get a before pic). I can't wait to take a class and try it myself. We may have to start bringing a bigger truck on sat!

Hope this inspires you to pick up a few tattered treasures.

Take care,

Di

Tai Pan Trading

Hello,

I absolutely love the new Tai Pan Trading store in Boise. Their new Spring garden decor is filled with topiaries, urns, bird cages, planters, and statues that look vintage-like you could have picked them up at an estate sale. I see many future paychecks headed their way.

Happy shopping!
