Twas the week before Christmas

Hello,

It's the week before Christmas.  And even though I've got this whole week off, I already know I'll run out of time to do everything by Saturday.  With decorating, shopping, manicures with the gals, cleaning, the xmas eve "kids" craft project (the kids are all in their 20s now), cooking, friends party, etc, etc.  I'm sure I'll end up wrapping presents until the wee hours on Christmas Eve.

I've been snapping random pics of all the cute Christmas decor at the Antique World Mall and thought I should post them before Christmas is over!

Hope you enjoy and here's wishing you get all the way through your "to-do" list this week.

The two following pics are of the pink and black "girlie" tree in my bathroom.  I've always wanted a pink tree and finally got one this year!  You should have one too!

The shabby architectual colums below have a red "sold" tag on them-I bought them for my own Christmas present to add a little historic detail to my home.

   Happy Holidays!

I'm back!

Hello,

I'm back from taking November off for National Novel Writing Month.  No, I didn't complete a whole novel of 50,000 words in a month, but I did write 4 chapters and 12,000 words-which is more than I've written this whole year!  I also developed some daily writing habits.  I found I do have time to write at night while enjoying a glass of wine instead of watching some mindless TV show.  I'm going to continue with my novel and now have a goal to complete it over the next year!  I wish you luck with your challenges and dreams!

I did spend a little time at the antique mall sprucing up for Christmas and also attended the fabulous Christmas Open House at the Shabby House (stay tuned).

Here's some pics of my booth all decorated up for the holidays.

   Take care,

Di
